Terms of Service
Last updated: April 15, 2026
Agreement to terms
By accessing or using MakeMyTxt ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
Description of the Service
MakeMyTxt provides free, browser-based text processing tools. All text processing runs locally in your browser. The Service does not require an account, does not store your text, and does not transmit your text to any server.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Process, generate, or distribute content that is illegal under applicable law.
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or connected networks.
- Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service in a manner that degrades performance for other users.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service beyond what is publicly available.
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organization in connection with the Service.
Intellectual property
The text you enter into MakeMyTxt tools is yours. We do not claim any ownership or rights over your content. The tools themselves, including the code, design, and branding of MakeMyTxt, are the property of their respective owners.
No warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will be available at all times or free from interruptions.
- Results produced by any tool will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
- The Service will be free from errors, bugs, or security vulnerabilities.
You use the Service at your own risk. Always verify results independently when accuracy is critical — for example, when preparing academic submissions, legal documents, or professional deliverables.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MakeMyTxt and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.
Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
