Frequently asked questions

Is this based on pronunciation or spelling?
Spelling. The tool matches shared letter endings, not phonetic sounds. This catches most perfect rhymes in English but will miss rhymes where spelling diverges from sound ("bough" and "cow").
Why are there no results for my word?
The dictionary holds about 10,000 common words. If your input is unusually rare or technical, the tool may not find any matches. Try a common synonym instead.
What is a "partial" rhyme?
A partial rhyme shares only the last two letters. These are often called slant rhymes or near rhymes — useful for lyrics and modern poetry where strict rhymes would feel forced.
Does it filter out my own word?
Yes — the input word is excluded from the results so you only see rhymes, not the word itself.
